The 2018 Caulifower Club Lunch had the luxury of two fantastic masters of ceremonies in Caroline Searcy and Tony Squires.  Celebrations got underway in style with an Acknowledgement to Country from rugby royalty - Gary Ella.

Announcements

NSW Rugby

Cauliflower Club were delighted to formally anounce that NSW Rugby has come on board as a partner.  More details will be revealed over the coming months, but the two organisations share common goals and a vision for rugby that will be delivered with greater synergy  working together.  We are delighted by this exciting development and look forward to sharing updates on this proactive relationship soon.

New Patron

The Cauliflower Club was also delighted to announce that our new Patron is Dame Marie Bashir, AD, CVO and former Governor of New South Wales.

TOAST TO THE BACKS

With the sad passing of our Patron Sir Nicholas Shehadie in the past year, we were delighted that Dame Marie Bashir AD, CVO, Cauliflower Club Patron and former Governor of NSW agreed to deliver the Toast to the Backs.

TOAST TO THE FORWARDS

This year's Toast was delivered by former Wallaby Cameron Shepherd who advised that 'I have been waiting for this opportunity to hang shit on forwards with a microphone for about 16 years'.  

Donation presentation

Thanks to the generous donations provided over the past year, Cauliflower Club were delighted to be able to present Matt Mackay from Royal Rehab with a new modified Toyota Camry to facilitate their Return2Driving program.   The program promotes safety and independence in driving for people with a range of disabilities and/or medical issues.



Our fantastic guest panel for the lunch.  Rugby legends - Wally Lewis, Michael O'Connor, Ricky Stuart and Mark Ella all led through some tall tales by Tony Squires.  Grab a cold beer and relive this wonderful gaterhing of great talent.
