Bring it on .....

After much careful analysis of key stats and hours of video reviews, we are delighted to advise that the squad for CCXV has been selected and will be revealed to an adoring public over the comings weeks.  The team will run out for the first game of 2019 on 30th March against Crookwell Dated Dogs.

Please follow us on Facebook for regular updates, including the imminent announcement of a dynamic Coach and Assistant Coach duo who will drive the team to peak performance.

A Welcome Return

We are delighted to announce that one of the stars of the last game in Forbes - referee Murray Fraser - is back to bring his own unique approach to the game and to and keep us all in order.

We don't do this alone

We are delighted to have the support of another great team - our Sponsors.  Their support is hugely valued and we encourage you to support them in return.

The Coach

We are very excited to announce that we have locked in a fantastic Coach for our CCXV match in Crookwell!  The Rugby Legend that is Bob Dwyer has graciously accepted to take the reins in Crookwell,.  The calibre of our coaches is humbling with Bob following on from Rod Macqueen in 2018.

Bob, of course, needs no introduction having brought 'Bill" to Australia for the first time in 1991. Let's see if he can work his magic on the CCXV ahead of the game on 30th March.

The journey of the CCXV

It all began in June 2017 when the Cooma Old Boys took on the might of the CCXV in their inaugural game on a full card at Rotary Oval.  The game was preceded by a Gentlemen's Lunch at the Alpine Hotel, enabling the team to ensure they were sufficiently hydrated prior to the match.

Training camp reports in the week leading up to the game provided insights to the elite training and commitment of the team.  On the big day, captained by Nick Farr-Jones the CCXV took to the field to the roar of the crowd. The half time team talk was delivered by Peter FitzSimons accompanied by a round of port.

A raucous evening back at the Alpine Hotel with a boat race won by Cooma and a very well supported auction of the team jerseys rounded out a superb day, with an excellent outcome from the generous donations.
